Thanks for the advice and I will try it out when I'm get some free time.
I am in fix mode having just repaired my Motorola lapdock of all bar one dodgy
key, sadly had to map that one out, and power issues due to a loose
connection on the flap assembly.
Next up is to get all my machines up to 5.28, where available, and to then set
up my Pi400 when it turns up.
After that I might look at updating to Manjaro.

Subject: [ARMini-support] Installing Manjaro Linux on the ARMbook
Following on from Andrew's comments about installing Manjaro, I have had a
go.
Installing was fairly easy. Here's how I did it.
These instructions are just a guide, if you have anything you need to keep
on the Linux side, please ensure you have backed it up to an external
datastore before continuing. Follow this guide at your own risk.
1 From my Windows laptop, downloaded Manjaro
I downloaded from
https://osdn.net/projects/manjaro-arm/storage/pinebook/kde-plasm
a/20.10/
I used the Raspberry Pi Imager and manually selected the Manjaro
image, to write the image to SD Card
Also copy to USB stick. You will need this later on
2 Swap out RISC OS SD Card for the Manjaro card and switch on the Pinebook
3 Pinebook boots into Manjaro from the SD Card
You must go through the intial Manjaro setup. Usual stuff such
as username, password, regional information
4 Configure your internet connection - this can be either the USB to
ethernet adaptor or the onboard WiFi Adaptor
5 Insert USB stick from step 1
6 From the main Application Launcher, open Add/Remove Software (from
Utilities section)
Search for manjaro-arm-flasher
Install manjaro-arm-flasher
7 Open manjaro-arm-flasher from Application Launcher
8 Choose to open a local image
Select the Manjaro image from USB stick
9 Write image to emmc (I accepted default settings for this)
10 Shutdown and remove SD Card
11 Switch on Pinebook and it will now boot into Manjaro
Having installed on to the internal emmc, for some perculiar reason, it
will no longer load manjaro from the SD Card, however this does not effect
the loading of RISC OS from it's SD Card
