correct, the general solution requires measuring the bi-spectral
response. Illuminant spectrum vs. "reflected" spectrum. To use
such a profile would require the final viewing illuminant spectrum to
be specified, including its UV component.
Even if you had the equipment and techniques to measure the excitation +
emission spectrum I'm not sure how well the ICC ecosystem can incorporate
the color matching complexity. (But then, I am also not extremely familiar
with the ICC system)
I understand ICCMAX has the capability of representing bi-spectral measurements
and possibly profiles. I'm not sure if anyone has ever written a bi-spectral
profiler though.
