Oh yes, I fully agree on that. My text is intended to help anybody who
wants to install Argyll on their machine, not a whole unattended
enterprise-level installation on many different architectures and OS
versions.
Working on a Debian version now ...

It's very different compiling something locally and compiling
something on official builders for all the different architectures
that Fedora supports. Using a customized build system is quite a big
hurdle for the latter.
