It depends on the exact combination of fixed patches, number of patches and
profile. I can't reproduce it unless you send me the profile. A sufficiently
badly behaved device response will probably always cause a failure, because
it screws up the spatial geometry.

Printcal stops if it use the description,     -D

Spotread stops after it has shown the diagram  -p  , ok whitout that
option,
I think printcal has equal problem.

Each diagnostic plot stops until you hit key in the plot window.

[Note there is a currently a bug Windows XP+ where the plot window
 fails to accept the key hit until you move the window or resize it.
 This bug will be fixed in the next release.]
