This is the same messages I got If I run dispcal as root with the instrument unplugged with beta8. Argyll 0.6 gives this messages with my eye-one pro plugged, so can there be a chance that you have downloaded wrong version?
Shame on me...I have downloaded and compiled the new version, but I did not realize that the makeinstall.ksh did not overwrite the previous 0.6 version.
As I also tried lprof which failed, I was totally on the wrong track. No I can go and see how much I can calibrate my T42p: # ./dispcal -yl -r Place instrument on test window. Hit Esc, ^C or Q to give up, any other key to continue: Current calibration response: Black level = 0.33 cd/m^2 White level = 155.17 cd/m^2 Aprox. gamma = 2.23 Contrast ratio = 474:1 White chromaticity coordinates 0.3125, 0.3362 White Correlated Color Temperature = 6463K, DE to locus = 8.9 White Correlated Daylight Temperature = 6460K, DE to locus = 5.3 White Visual Color Temperature = 6141K, DE to locus = 8.6 White Visual Daylight Temperature = 6283K, DE to locus = 5.1 The instrument can be removed from the screen. thx afx -- Espresso / Cappuccino ist wie Liebe, man muss sich heute die gleiche Mühe geben wie gestern und morgen noch mehr !
