I'm using the Huey on Ubuntu as well, I have a deb for that: "deb http://ubuntu.pcode.nl/ubuntu hardy argyll" or "deb http://ubuntu.pcode.nl/ubuntu intrepid argyll" That will give you access to a proper binary package for ArgyllCMS 1.0.3 Use at own risk, but it worked for me.
