It's hard to know how the conclusion follows from the table, since
it doesn't list target values. Note that due to black offset handling,
no two pieces of software or standards exactly agree on what the idea
curve is.
If it is the black end (0 - 5 %), then you could try changing the -f option.
The default for the last release was 1.0, you could try values of 0.5 or 0.0
to see if they improve things.
