"However, if you've been so successful without us; > why the need to join up with us?" "Because we're not as successful as we could be." Keavy hopped up from the couch and straightened her skirt. Glancing over at Jezebal, she thought about undoing some of the buttons on her blouse but decided against it. It wasn't her thing. "We can win at the smaller races but the real action is on the bigger tracks, but the bigger tracks have their own challenges that a small team, no matter how dedicated or skilled, is at a great disadvantage." Keavy paused for a moment realizing what she was doing. This was Terry's bit, not hers. She would have to beat some sense into him later, leaving them alone like this. "Let's put all our cards on the table then, Colonel. Sure we've raced at Innsbruck but we've never won and the reason is that I was all alone out there. No one was watching my back. Ask Rohgen how many times he's had to patch up the rear armor on my Gear. I want to win Innsbruck but I can't do it without help on the track. From what we've been hearing, you're taking the Redliners to Innsbruck. And you are going to be taking part in contests that a single Gear with a small team can't get into. Rohgen is a great mechanic and Terry has a good head for business but we need more to succeed. Sure we could recruit others but that would take too much time from us being on the circuits. Ergo we decided to see about joining up with another team." She looked from the Colonel to Jezebal and back again. "We're a good small team. You were a good large team. Together we can be great, I just know it." By the Fortunes this sounded corny, she thought to herself and looked over to Rohgen. 'You want to jump in here?' her eyes said.
