Activism and Spirituality: Fueling the Flame FUNDRAISER & AWARDS DINNER

Awards will be given to Susan Wills (AAIM) Kae McLaughlin, Sam Smoot (Texas
Freedom Network),  Phyllis Dunham (Sierra Club) and Charlie Jackson.
East Austin Unites for HIV/Aids Awareness 1pm
Texas State Capitol
  ·       The East Austin HIV/AIDS State of Urgency March and Rally will
unite area churches, AIDS Services of Austin (ASA) and other community
organizations for the 2nd annual National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness and
Information Day.
·       Those who wish to march will carpool at 2 p.m. to Ebenezer Baptist
Church on 10th street.   The 1.4-mile march will end at the Rosewood
Community Center on Pleasant Valley with food, music and fellowship prepared
by local churches and community sponsors.
·       Free HIV antibody testing will be provided by the City Health
Department and MHMR/CARE Program.

Asian American Cultural Center, 11713 Jollyville Road
  ·       Spiritual leaders from different faiths will share their spiritual
teaching on community. The seminar will begin with a candlelight memorial
for the heroes of the Columbia space shuttle.Please bring your candle and
