[amayausers] stitches coming loose

Hi,
I embroiderd a letter, width 0,28". But after washing it 1 time, the thread
came loose.
Is this letter to wide for a satinstich or should I look for the problem
elsewhere. How can I repair this ?
Who can give me some tips to avoid this ?
