Personally... I LOVE the Ping ultimate t that san mar sells.  Admittedly, it
costs about $4-6 more than the standard t's but it's fantastic.  Bought it
for a customer and ended up buying nearly the whole spectrum of colors for
myself.

Aside from that, we either use gildan or jerzees z-tee.

We usually use 2 1.5 oz. pieces of stabilizer.  One normal, one high density
(the one that looks like a tic tac toe board).  Shirts usually turn out very
well.  For me, toppers don't seem to make much of a difference.
