Auto activ-feed works great on caps, but you also need to be using the "auto
lower limit" feature that allows you to regulate how low you want auto
activ-feed to go down to......have you been using this feature and if so at
what setting are you goint with. I would start with between 6 and 10. too high
a setting may result in too loose of a thread condition that will cause false
bobbin/thread break symptoms.

You should be seeing the auto activ-feed numbers rise across the center seam of
the cap to sometimes as high as 20+...depends on the cap. Using the "auto lower
limit" settings will give the machine a head start on the big jump between the
light/thin material on both sides of the cap and the thick bulky center seam.

If you are running fills, the "run fill speed" will loosen up the stitch and
allow more thread to lay on top of the material and not be sucked down so
tightly.....are you using this feature?
