That being said, if any part that (sorry-don't know the technical terms) of that "drive system" doesn't have enough lubrication. Almost every time I have done maintenance, Z-axis errors disappear for the most part. Oil the machine well, and do any maintenance procedures you (me, too) may have "prolonged", and I'll bet you these errors decrese.
