A quick tip that has worked for me to moisturize thread is to dampen a clean
sponge, put the thread and the sponge in a ziploc baggie and pop it in the
microwave for about 30 seconds. Make sure the bag is sealed after microwaving
and let it sit for an hour or so. It's saved me a couple times.
