I will say that for metallics, I've had a TON of luck with the Yenmet spools.
Had a spool of superior gold metallic that had to be slowed down to 500 to even
have a chance of working, and the Yenmet runs trouble-free at 1000, even on a
size 11 needle. LOVE this stuff.
