I have an XT, but it often depends more on the hat than on the cap frame.
Melco cap frames are usually big, but a big design will often not fit on the
cap! I try for 3" tall, but rarely end up that tall. 2.8 or 2.7 is much more
reasonable. I tell my customers 2.7" and try for bigger. Customers never
measure! Taller than that and you will start getting distortion and that is a
disaster. I always trace to make sure I am not going to hit the frame.
