It is an ISA card and Melco was able to pull up the customer file which shows my parents have an EMC6 bought in 1993 but someone didn't enter the dongle number so they wouldn't answer my question until they had that. (The computer is in a storage shed which I don't have access to.) They have called service many times for help with the machine without anyone ever asking for it. They do have EDS3 and I thought it only worked with Windows 95/98 and was really wondering if it works with any newer operating systems. I guess not. Will a standard Windows network card work with a EMC6 since I have DesignShop? From: Dean Zellman <mrstitch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Sun, 28 May 2006 07:50:04 -0700 (PDT) My EMC s uses EDS 3 with the ISA Network Card on a Win 98 and Win 95. I believe you must run a DOS base operating system. The ISA card with 98 and before. The PCI card with 2000/XP. The reason service would have asked for the dongle number, is early versions of Designshop are not capable of being used with the PCI card, and newer versions of Designshop cannot be used with Windows 98 and before. Hope this helps. David Anderson Keband Australasia Pty. Ltd. 18 Daphne Cres, Hurstbridge.
