Connie, Yes, we up the price when they bring in their own garments. We do screen printing also and will go up a price category on print charges. We learned that when you screw up a customers shirt it takes time and retail pricing to replace it. You must cover yourself. On embroidery we usually charge $1.00 per 1,000 but will go up to $1.25 or $1.50 depending on how expensive the garment is. We have discussed a flat fee added to any order with the garments brought in but haven't come up with a charge. You definitely should charge something! I'm not opposed to doing them, but I'm not happy about losing my profit on shirts, either. Do you price differently for customer supplied garments or handle them differently in any way? I'd certainly like to encourage my customers to purchase directly from me, but I guess I haven't established an arrangement that I'm satisfied with yet.
