The plastic sided prewound from MetroEmb also work well for me.  I can't tell 
any difference between them and NEB.  They are usually less than half the price 
of NEB.

I don't ever use the cardboard anymore because of the extra lint they cause.  I 
have also had several of them that were bad and had to throw them away.

What kind of industrial bobbin winder do you have?  I often would like to use 
the same color thread in the bobbin for lace so it would be so nice to have one.
