accessible-iOS Re: a update on the list of iOS 7 ideas

I doubt we'll see many crashes, but given the number of apps we're talking about, the amount of change we're talking about between IOS 6 and IOS 7 and how hard it is to test for accessibility, I wouldn't blame anyone for waiting a bit and getting some feedback on list that the apps most important to them are still accessible. For some, staying up on the latest and greatest is fine, but for other, who may depend on their iPhone for their job or other important services, I can understand their desire to be a bit cautious. I'll move up myself, but I'll wait until it fits into my schedule. I won't be one of the first to update my iPhone.

I don't think there's any reason to ask people for their opinions on list. I'm sure there will be a huge up tick in list traffic as soon as IOS 7 is released.

Agreed and I do exactly the same or be it a day or so after so as to
wait for the traffic to die down.

Hi,

I really doubt Apple would release an OS as buggy as all that. I
wouldn’t be afraid to update right away. After all, that what’s the
betas are for. To catch huge issues like you mentioned in your post.

I'll likely download it a month or two after it is released to make
sure no crashes happen and all is good, so if any of you guys
download it before I do, keep us posted what you like about it and
what you don't like about it and what could use improvement.

Teachers have a sacred task:
It is to give children the skills to understand the world and an
expectation that the world is a trustworthy place; that it is full of
light, and love, and music and that each student deserves--and will
have--their own place in it and the chance to play their own song.
And, as much of these expectations are transmitted non-verbally—and
in Chela’s case--out of sight…it is the voice and touch of a Teacher
that sheds light on what the world can be.
Academics—and no one will ever change my mind on this—take a distant
second place. —Dr. Bil Hawkins

Yes, at this point, with the release right around the corner, it will
most likely not be in this version, perhaps in the next. But what you
must also consider is that there must be a law of supply and demand
applied here, if enough people demand it, it will be supplied, but if
not enough demand, then it will not be supplied. This is the case with
many technology companies, especially mainstream ones such as Apple.

Hi. For those of you who were on this list at the beginning of 2013
when I was getting ideas from you about bug reports and feature
requests
to send to apple for iOS 7 I just wanted to let you know that it was a
bigger project then I thought it would be. There was a lot of editing
and stuff and I took everyone's names out of the emails for privacy
and
I was also trying to do that while in school at the same time. So I am
sorry that it took so long, but I just sent it today. IOS 7 is already
in bata so I think it may be too late to take our ideas into
account for
iOS 7. Hopefully we will see some of our ideas implemented in iOS 8
next year. I asked them to please try to get our ideas implemented in
iOS 7 and if it was too late then to try to do it for iOS 8. Again,
Sorry it took so long it was a lot more work then I thought it
would be
to get that email ready to send.
