Andy - Sorry to hear of your experience. In general, I think people really need to be careful with the trust they put in home testing monitoring equipment that do tests of this nature, including BP monitors. People I know have flagged up the inaccuracies in readings, when compared to more expensive hospital equipment. I'm not saying such monitors have no useful purpose, and don't want to scare monger, and maybe it's partly that you get what you pay for, but as I said, I have known people using blood pressure monitors, and INR checkers, and as Andy reports, have found the readings way out, when compared with surgery or hospital readings -

Hi I am warning all Diabetics of a problem with the super check 2 Please be careful of the readings from this machine, I nearly landed up in Hospital yesterday because of an inaccurate reading from the machine. the super chek 2 told me my blood test was 6.3 and the old meter gave me a reading of 3.8 which was more the right test reading. I'm not saying don't use the machine but just be aware of the problem. I have log a complaint with the RNIB I am just waiting for the product department to contact me.
