We use a BT Synergy 700. All the menus speak and it is fairly easy to use. The only drawback is that the ringbone is fairly quite but I have got around this with a loud ringer unit from the RNID.

We are on NTL and there are no compatibility issues.

Subject: [access-uk] talking Telephone Answering Machines

Hi Folks,

I know we have discussed this before, but can people recommend a good
talking telephone answering machine. The one I have is very unreliable,
talks some but not most of the menu items, and is generally not very good.
I am with NTL and, as far as I am aware, they do not have an answering
service similar to BT.

Any thoughts and recommendations?

David
