Hi Janet
Just look around, you may prefer a Sony, an LG or perhaps something else with
speech feedback that we haven’t covered on here. External features like the
iPlayer, Netflix and the browser are not accessible, Voice Guide simply
covers all aspects of the TV itself. If you want to use external apps, you
would need to use your phone. I think the Sony Bravia range supports Android
so you could install Talkback, but I don’t know how well apps like iPlayer
and Netflix work, someone else with one might share that information. Also
remember that any boxes you attach to any Smart TV such as Sky or TVonics
won’t use Voice Guide when you switch to them, it’s only the TV’s own tuner
that offers speech feedback. I’ve been asked this question a lot so thought
I would let you know.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

Hi Janet
We’ve had a Samsung Smart TV with Voice Guide feedback for some time, and I
would buy a replacement tomorrow if it packed in, it’s very useful. Your
best bet is to go to a local dealer or somewhere like Richer Sounds, and ask
them to turn on Voice Guide if it’s a Samsung you are looking for. Remember
that anything under 40 inches won’t carry Voice Guide on the Samsung range.
Alternatively, there are Sony Bravia sets of 40 inches and over that have
speech on them, but those who have them could tell you more than me here.
I also understand some LG sets have speech feedback but, again, I don’t know
how good it is, or on what models this applies.
I hope that gives you some idea of where to start.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

You could also try Richer Sounds.
I have always found them knowledgeable, and particularly helpful.
