Thank you, although this isn’t what I wanted to hear (smile)!
I have a blind teenage character without tv or a wi-fi connection and I’d hoped
that although she could send/receive texts and make calls, that she might not
have been able to access other entertainment services – I know that when I
don’t have a wi-fi connection, for example, I can’t download Seven Little
Words. I’ll have to go back to the drawing board, but thanks to everyone for
responding.

Hi Alison
Yes all the services should be accessible without a Wi-Fi Internet connection
providing the character in your story has a sufficiently capable cellular
connection. Most services can run on 3G but 4G is recommended and of course
with the newly emerging 5G technology all of the services should be no problem
at all to access. Good luck with your story.

I belong to a creative writing group and am trying to write a story where a
youngster is in a house without wi-fi. Would she be able to access the
following:
Spotify?
e-mails?
Radio stations?
YouTube?
Netflix?
I guess we should presume she has a data package. But I know that when my wi-fi
is down, there are some services I can’t reach, like Seven Little Words.
