Hi George

Sorry about delay but have had problems with my pc. Yes mum has looked on
google but the stumbling block is the price, it has to be low otherwise you may
as well scrap the laptop and get a new one.

Regards

Adrien

Don't forget that Google can very much be your friend.

I simply entered "laptop motherboards" and there are many repair places you can
e-mail or call for a quote.

Make sure you have the full details of make and model before you call though.

George.

Hi Mo

Tried to phone you for your ideas, yes I think it'll have to be ebay, the
laptop is not even 3 years old, my sister and I got it for mum for Christmas a
couple of years ago. It's odd how one part goes but there you go. Technology
for you.

Regards

Adrien

Hi adrien.

I would try ebay. I know you do not like ebay but they are your only viable
option without spending too much. Perhaps the technition could source it if you
pay him? That way you do not have to deal with ebay. If the machine is old I.e
more than a few years I wouldn't bother even replacing the motherboard.
Sometimes if not done properly it can cause more damage to other components,
monitor ribbon cables etc.

Hth,

Mo.

        Hi

My mum's graphic card on her hp laptop has gone, we have
been told we can replace the motherboard and that it
shouldn't cost too much, I have just tried contacting hp
themselves but they won't let us fix it ourselves, obviously
they want to sell a new laptop. Anyone know where in the UK
we can get a new motherboard at a reasonable price, we have
someone who is a computer technician who can fix the
        motherboard in.
