Tried to phone you for your ideas, yes I think it'll have to be ebay, the
laptop is not even 3 years old, my sister and I got it for mum for Christmas a
couple of years ago. It's odd how one part goes but there you go. Technology
for you.

Hi adrien.
I would try ebay. I know you do not like ebay but they are your only viable
option without spending too much. Perhaps the technition could source it if you
pay him? That way you do not have to deal with ebay. If the machine is old I.e
more than a few years I wouldn't bother even replacing the motherboard.
Sometimes if not done properly it can cause more damage to other components,
monitor ribbon cables etc.
