Hi Carol, No, I'm a total novice. Not only do I not have an IPhone, but no
mobile phone at all. I've never encountered, let alone used a touch screen.
The whole thing's goine to be a first.
John.

Am I right in thinking you already use an iPhone? If so, you know all the basics and what you'll need to do, in the main, is to apply these to a larger screen area. I found thjis quite difficult when I had the iPad Mini and sold it on as a result. I much preferred the phone and pod anyway.
Some of the screen layouts may differ (by default), in that I know the mail app did show two columns side by side by default at the time I used it with the Pad. I do know though that it can be altered.
I hope you get on well with it but my advice, if you don't and have given it a fair shot is simply to go to what you like and use best! <Smiles>
Hope this helps a bit.

Subject: [access-uk] learning to use an IPad
Hi everybody, can anyone tell me where I can find a tutorial on learning to
use an IPad from the ground up. Not only have I never used, nor so much as
felt an IPad I've never used a touch screen.
A friend is sending me an IPad, an is going to teach me to use it over the
phone. It occurred to me that it may be helpful if I could learn
independently as well.
I've looked on Apple Vis, but gave up after ploughing through the first 20
pages of posts. Can someone point me directly at one.
I don't, incidentally, have an IPhone, nor any other mobile. I've never
felt the need for one, not sufficient to justify the expense anyway. My
landline package give me all calls to both landlines and UK based mobiles
free.
Hope someone can help.
thanks,
John.
