Hi Adrian,

The Kindle voice is actually pretty tolerable.

Hi Jacky

Well I don't need a kindle, I have sufficient audio book readers so for me
it'll be a waste of money. I don't like synthesised voices either.

Regards

Adrien

Hi Adrien

Unless the Kindle Fire HDX does something phenomenally well that the iOS app
doesn't, I won't be buying it either. The Kindle Keyboard was good but
fairly limited compared to the app. But those who don't have an Apple
device may find the Kindle Fire HDX and such-like an alternative. My
concern is that the HDX is only partly accessible which then becomes a bit
of a bugger! (smile).

Hi Jacky

No I was just curious because at one time amazon stopped providing speech
support on the kindles and was wondering if they had put it back on. I was
looking at them on Friday night on amazon but really don't want another
touch screen device.

Adrien

Hi Adrien

I believe the new Kindle Fire HDX has accessibility, but have never seen or
played with one to know what works and what doesn't. I think RNIB has some
info on the various Kindle options, so perhaps do a search on their website?

Hi

I haven't seen any messages on here recently about the kindle but do the new
kindles speak? Do they have speech software built in?
Regards

Adrien
