Hi Saqib.

Dragon dictation is still available, though I've heard rumblings on other lists that a recent update has caused some accessibility issues to creep in. Siri is truly wonderful, its the system wide availability of the dictation and other features which makes it just so much more productive. I don't know how I could use my IPhone without it now I find it so handy what with being constantly on the move when in college.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim. Is there a app for the Ipod Touch I can try or are you
just refering to Siri? I've tried dictating text messages on my
Android phone by using the MA screen reader and 8 times out of 10 it
comes up with the right sentences as it throws up a list and you have
to select the sentence that you had spoken.

Hi Maggie, there is only one version. You need the Ipad2 as I think the
Ipad one is still available. Shop around, www.ebuyer.com have it for £395.

Ron,
Thanks for replying to my ipad message!
If I go ahead, is there a particular size/model to get voiceover?
Thanks again for your help!
Regards,
Maggie

Maggie, I am pretty certain you will be able to do that. You will probably need someone to switch VO on and then it is more or less like the IPod touch
which you are used too. I have just bought one for my wife's birthday and
she is loving it. She is sighted but it is much bigger and it is a WOW
experience. There is a lot of help on www.blindcooltech.com and other
sites. Good luck.

There is also help on YouTube.com

Cheers

Ron

Hi all,
I am thinking of buying the above, to replace my ipod touch!
Will I be able to set it up myself?
Any advice would be welcome!
Thanks, Maggie Norton
