Hi Will. Not necessarily, I've a Samsung N140 netbook on which I do all of these things. A netbook has the processing capability and resources to serve adequately enough and I've found nothing to complain of. Of course, its no replacement for a conventional laptop or pc, but you can't beat a netbook and external drive for portability and convenience especially as you can attach and detach at will.
All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "will" <lomaswilliam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

if you want that kind of functionality you may as well buy a full laptop not a netbook----- Original Message ----- From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, October 05, 2009 5:07 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: external burners for samsung nc10Hi Jim.Its totally subjective as to how much you want to spend and what your looking for. May I ask firstly what exactly you want to use the drive for? Are you just looking for a cd rom drive for instance or are you looking to watch dvd's, burn cd and dvd disks and so on.All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "jim mcauslan" <jim.mcauslan@xxxxxxx>To: "access-uk" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, October 04, 2009 10:25 PM Subject: [access-uk] external burners for samsung nc10Hi List,I have a Samsung nc10 net book and I'm on the look for an external cd / dvd writer. I've had a look on sites such as amazon and althought the prices, £35 to £45, seem reasonable, I see mixed reviews about such proeducts. What's your experience? I'm open to suggestions.
