Well what I liked about dos, (and windows cannot do can it?) Is the use of bat files Lets say you wanted to log in to talking news papers. You have to do the following. go to the address of the web site (ok so you can do this from favourites) You then have to log in And then go to the news paper. But if we were using dos now, we could have Just typed in say: "paper" and the file would then Do an automatic login and bring you straight to the paper. So much quicker than now.
