Hmmm, now there you do have some problems. You need to try and find out
whether the socket is for radio or whether perhaps an old tv antenna; either
way it will probably be better than the signal yu get from a wire out the
window. Once you've established that, get someone in to put some sockets in
from that socket in other rooms.
As for the concerto, what I'd do is, assuming you can get a socket in the
bedroom, get a piece of cable with the socket on one end, and nothing on the
other. Then strip a bit of the insulation, collaps the Concerto's antenna
and twist a piece of the centre core of the cable round the top of the
Concerto's antenna. That should give you enough signal.

Yes I have a tv in each room but one of the stations like is only on fm, I
think the socket for the radio is just like an tv aerial socket, I am not
sure. They have obviously put it in for a reason. My radio in the living
room is a concerto 2, it doesn't have a connection for an external antenna,
just the telescopic aerial. My stereo in the bedroom has a wire aerial which
I have had to extend to hang out of the window but the signal is good but
not great, it could be a lot better.

That is a nasty situation for dab and fm. Can you let us know more about
the plug for radio if possible? Is it a normal coaxial aerial socket, if so
it should be possible to get a cable to run from your dab receiver of fm
receiver to it.
The other alternative is to get radio through Freeview or your sattellite tv
perhaps.
I really don't envy you that situation.

Can someone please help me? I live in a ground floor flat, it is supported
living. I have a problem picking up either fm or dab signals clearly. My
landlord won't allow me to put up an outdoor aerial, the signals are really
patchy in my flat. There is a very high stone wall opposite my flat, part of
the old hospital that was on this site originally. What can I do to improve
dab or fm signals in here? My stereo has a wire aerial and I have to have
both radios in my Livingroom and bedroom near a window otherwise I don't get
a signal at all. Is there any way to boost the signal on both fm and dab? I
am also next door to the laundry in the building. There is a lot of steel
girders in the building a big part of the problem I think. In my living room
I have a socket on the wall for the satellite tv to connect to the dish on
the roof, there is also a connection for radio but I am not quite sure what
this is for. It also has a phone socket built in. Any ideas please guys?
