Hi Jackie,
Though I may well enjoy reading all of this - and it could persuade me to
buy it - I discovered it's "log in" only. I know this was to be a "paid for"
item. Is this the case, or can I just give myself a log in to the site and
get it anyway?

Hi Carolanyway.
Go to
www.mysticaccess.com/braillenote-touch-tutorial.
You can download the entire thing in either MP3 or DAISY format. I am
working my way through it at the moment, and find it pretty good. If
this isn't what you are referring to, I apologise, but recommend it
think it is!

Yes, Mike's still looking at it.
Did you manage to find podcasts 11-12, by the way? They didn't show up
in their usual Youtube home and I haven't found them as yet.
The good thing if Mike gets one, in the end, is that I get to help
sort it and play, of course! <Smiles>

Hi CarolBraille
Thanks, but not really. Using a separate Android or iOS device with
just isn't my bag. I'm probably an old-fashioned girl in that Ido
prefer an all-in-one device, but something which has a modern
browser, and lets me
all the things I want with Braille built into it. So the BrailleNoteTouch
is the only option, and that is my goal!Of

Jackie,
Have you used the virtual clipboard setting. This (theoretically)
lets you input Braille as fast as you want then send it off to
whatever device
wanting to send to. Yes, the waiting comes at the stage where you'resending
the written text to the device you wish to receive it as it first has
to input it into the phone which, actually, isn't any quicker than
putting it directly into the phone and allowing for the lag, but HIMS
keyboard.<BG>>characters,
At least you can play around a bit with the Braille.
I have yet to determine whether this facility is limited to 255
which I did think may be the case at some point, and I'm going to askask
HIMS directly about this.
The command on the notetakers used to be different from that on the
Smart Beetle but it could well be that they've changed that command
to be a universal one. The command I use on the Smart Beetle is
CTRL+C+Enter. I can't remember off the top of my head what I used to
CTRL+C+use
(occasionally) with the Sense. Rajmund probably remembers though. I
can
him if you can't!
Does this help at all?

Hi JohnOf
I just find that if you write a message in Braille like on a U2, it
is laggy. The time between you putting in each letter and those
letters appearing on the display is very slow, to me at least.

the ease of use with a stand alone is massive. though it can be done
the cheap way it is very very fiddley to do.
strange though i do find with the iphone my braille is very fast
unlike jackie. i do use the american computer braille though so when
i enter a number for number six i press lower f.
