George,

So, when you say "no fancy stuff", what do you mean? - No drivers and stuff to install?

What's the model number, by the way, please?

I bought a Belkin Bluetooth USB adaptor from PC World for
around 30 Pounds.

Plugs in, is recognised by Windows XP Home and Pro, and
didn't come with any fancy stuff. Works fine with my
telephone, a photo printer and all sorts.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] bluetooth usb

Hi all.

I'm looking for a recommendation on a bluetooth adaptor.

I've purchased one from Ebay but am sending it back. It
came with propriatory software for transfering files, using
it as a modem and all sorts of other personal network stuff
I don't need or want. The device can not be used without
this software installed.

I want to simply be able to use the send to context menu
item to send wavs, midi's etc to my bluetooth enabled mobile
phone. Is anyone using a bluetooth usb adaptor that does
this?

Thanks
Barry
