Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply

Duel booting would save me buying another hard drive.  How much space 
does a linux system require?

Also, do I put windows or linux on first?

I am hoping the network card will be found but it is an onboard one 
(remember all the fiddling around downloading drivers from the intel 
site?

Also, can you recommend any reading material for learning linux?
