A quick note on backing the phone up. You should treat it like you do with your computer.Think about the time you tae to set all your shortcuts up, install yoru fav apps, adjust yoru contacts list to look the way you want, copied ring tones over and set profiles to exactness.
Forget even if you drop the phone if you send it to the Nokia Service Centre they will format as part of the course.

Hi Catherine, Yes, it does. But be warned that formatting your phone will cause you to lose data, so backup. Oh yes, did I say backup? I see the instructions say "if you've updated the firmware" - what if you haven't? So it is possibletoset the software installation to all independently. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dj Paddy" <mygroups@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 10:34 PMSubject: [access-uk] adjusting date/time on Simbian Based Phones withoutsight Found this that Steve wrote a few years ago. Just ran with it on my phone and then plugged the phone in and got it connect to my pc suite and talks up and running now. All withoutsightedhelp. grins This describes how to adjust the date/time on Simbian based phones without vision. This is useful when installing access software such as Talks as the software is signed with a security signature.I find the quickest way to set time and date is to reformat the phone ifyou have already updated the firmware Type *#7370#, then Key1, then 12345followed by Key1. This is the lock code. Wait for the phone to reboot, then type immediately, lon into the first field, which sets the city to London, then Key1, then type in the current time, then Key1 then the = current date in 09022007 format, no spaces or anything, then Key1 again, then = wait for about a minute for the phone to install bits from the hard disk. = Now you should be able to install Talks. The only difficulty is if your phone defaults to setting the software to signed only. Then you really won't be able to do it without sight, or Ihave not found a reliable way of doing it. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
