So you can't have both the movy sound and the audio description at the same time? Slightly annoying as surely bty wearing headset you can't necearrily hear the movy as good as you would without them?

Quite right. You have left and right balance and a button that inputs
wither the soundtrack or the description. I tend to use it spareingly
as it does spoil the cinematic sound.

Hi,

I think you can hear either the sound track or the audio description through the headphones, but not both at once, so you need to have one ear enclosed
in the headphones, and one open. It is worth doing, even though you lose
some of the surround-sound stereo experience of the cinema to get the A D. If I'm wrong, and there's a third setting to get the full mix of soundtrack
+ description, please shout.

Best,
Clive

Hi. I usually ask for a headset. You can't hear the soundtrack of the film through them. You can only hear the AD. You should ask for them as soon as
you pay for your tickets.

Subject: [access-uk] Watching audio described films in cinema

Hi all,

Me and my boyfriend would love to go to one of the cinema theaters to watch the latest James Bond film. I know that there are audio described services available across UK and I'm aware how they are done. But I'm not sure how to approach managers in a CenimaWorld and what equipment to request, since on the phone not every operator actually knows what audio discription is and
when you can get it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards
