Well, that doesn't surprise me at all. We still have ours working at present, thankfully. If the List moderator does not mind, I will happily advise the list when I do have some more in. Mark, tvonicks were acquired by a company called pulsate a couple of years ago and they're licensing arrangement with RNIBsadly was not renewed. Pulse8 have decided that they do not want to continue in the free view market given the immense saturation this market has already, so these boxes will be in very limited supply as once they are gone, they are gone. You can still get it at the moment I think from Ibrahim on list and maybe other stockists. I was just guessing that sooner or later it will either be superceded by something else or just won't be available any more, which is why I was asking about the Tivo box because we used to have TV via Virgin Media. Thanks for the latest here. We stopped using NTL fopr our TV a while back now when we purchased the TVONICS but, with the gradual decline of these, we're just looking at our options now because we still have Cable facility. Cheers. Your Tivo box needs to be physically connected to your home router though. Mine are in separate rooms but I use a network solution that uses the electrical power circuits. Yes, you can set up recordings and use it as a Tivo remote. You can stream programmes to your iPhone but unfortunately you don’t get the audio description. At one point the box was working quite well with the iPhone's app, but I'd like to know if this is still the case and what the restrictions are, if any. Can you record using this app? Thanks for any current information anyone can give on this. Carol P
