You can mention the person you are replying to in your tweet. However, if someone is not following you, you cannot send a direct tweet which will only be seen by the person concerned.

Subject: [access-uk] Twitter question

Hi,

I've been following a few people on twitter for ages and now finally I
want to reply to something someone said. But the person I want to
respond to is not following me - am I right in thinking that this
means I can't send them a message? It seems a bit pointless to follow
someone if they don't follow you, then you can't respond? I may be
missing something as there are links not read well by JAWS (I'm using
the mobile twitter site on my PC).

Can anyone enlighten me as to how I communicate with this person?
It's the blind_tech by the way, I got a message from someone on
facebook about them setting up a website for blind tech stuff. I want
to respond to their request for suggestions on podcasts.
