Hi Carol

Towards the front of the Braille keyboard, on the left side, there is a lip
which you just use to pull the keyboard away from the glass surface of the
tablet.

Touch

Yes, but how do I reach the touch screen? I'm looking for the glass surface?

All you have to do to activate the touch screen is place all ten of your
digits on it as though you were going to write in Braille. You then feel a
short vibration and can begin writing. It might also be good to press the
right-most and left-most buttons on the front of the Unit until you hear
Touch Braille on.  It is also worth keeping in mind that theBraille
characters are not created until you lift your fingers after making the
appropriate shape.

What I want to do is to be able to write on the touch pad. I know you

Thanks for anything you can offer ...

Hi Carol

I'm not quite clear what it is you are trying to do?  If it is
removing the Touch completely from its case, then flip it over, and
press the latches that are towards the bottom.  This will remove it
away from the case completely.  If you then want to remove the
battery, there are two further latches on the rear of the tablet which
you lift up to take the battery out.

If I have your question wrong, I do apologise.

As for Tweetings, it seems you can't activate the log-in button once
you put in your credentials whether you use Braille by Touch or not.

I have asked HW to look at this, perhaps there is a work-around?  I
detest the native Twitter app for Android, it just doesn't do it for
me like Tweetings does.

Jackie,

I've had the same problem and (though I haven't tried Twitter)
really want to use Tweetings also.

As we have training booked, if nobody helps before then, I'll get it
done at that time and see how it goes. Incidentally, I haven't found
exactly how you set up the touch pad (getting it out of its home, I
mean). If you have done this and can explain it to me, I'd be very
grateful as I'd like to get started ...

I do know how to remove the back cover but, after that, I'm a bit lost!

Terry Clasper and I are on the hunt for a Twitter app that will
work with our machines for Android.  We would both prefer
Tweetings, and have downloaded this.  But there is something you
need to do on the touchscreen that KeySoft isn't allowing you to
activate to log in.  Once you get past whatever that button is, we
reckon it would work because everything else seems to be accessible
so far.  We have both tried the native Twitter app which works, but
which neither of us likes.

Any suggestions please guys?

Jackie Brown
