Hi there I'd just like to add that my machine wich is the DTR-Z500HD was crashing when I was trying to move through the channel list as well as trying to move through a recording. I have now rolled back to the previous version of the firmware and all is well again. Go figure. The dTR-500 and the DTR-z-500. The DTR-500 is the one supplied by RNIB. The firmware for both boxes has the date of June 2013. The firmware for the DTR-500 caused the TTS to stop working. There is a notice on that firmware that it isn't compatible with the box sold by RNIB. I am checking to see if there is a difference between the DTR-500 and DTR-Z-500 in terms of how the firmware affects the TTS. Those of you who have upgraded may find your box crashes when you are recording or moving around within a recording.
