Hi, Yes it does. And the two finger method of turning it on out of the box works too. So you just switch on, wait for about 30 seconds, then put two fingers slightly apart on roughly but not accurately, the centre of the screen and wait for it to talk. It's about four seconds. You will then be put into a very nice Talkback tutorial. I believe the Moto G is in Tesco for 99 quid Sim-free. That is a game changer, probably one of the cheapest accessible phones for the blind out of the box. I think you'll find they'd get it working for you if you went to your local Tesco. The guy said he'd certainly learned something, but at least he was willing to learn! It's still unusual to find anyone who knows about accessibility in shops. If the Hudl is unused and fresh out of the box, try switching it on, then holding a couple of fingers against the screen until it starts talking. If it's already been set up, get someone to go to the Settings menu, Accessibility, and make sure Talkback is checked. I think you also have to check Explore by Touch. Same sort of thing if you go for a Moto G phone, which is about the same price as the Hudl. Once you've got one of these devices, there's plenty of help available on various lists, and there are more and more websites about Android, too. The thought has terrified me up til now but they seem to be the way to go these days. I know nothing about Android or I Phones so was wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonably priced place to start. These Hudl things sound interesting, so would I have to go and get some help setting it up? Any views welcome. Many thanks. Debs _____ No virus found in this message.
