Hello all.
An example of when you would use a virtual recorder like Phantom Drive is perhaps you want to preview how a CD or DVD will play. You could first of all burn it to a virtual recorder. If you don't like it, no problem; burn it again, and again, etc, until you are ready to burn to a physical CD/DVD. Unlike physical media, you are not having to waste disks because you burnt something only to discover it went wrong. True there are rewritable media, but they only last so long before they start to fail.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
