Hello everyone.

Quite recently I have bought the product outlined in the subject of this message. Now don't get me wrong, the box and the speech is fantastic! But I am having an extremely annoying problem with it!

You know the remote control for it, well when I aim it at the box in order to do something like change channel for example, no matter how close the remote is to the box it just will not recognise the signal at all! Now there is absolutely nothing at all blocking the line of vision between the box and the remote control. It can be literally touching the box and it just will not operate at all. Yes I have tried brand new batteries in the remote, hasn't made a difference.

I more often than not have to double tap every single button on it just for it to register! And excuse the humer here, but when I am trying to aim it at the box I need to keep moving it round to different angles! Its like a yoyo! Even my parents who helped me to get used to the remote control are pretty gob smacked by it and they told me to get onto the RNIB, which I have done.

Now to give you a brief idea of my setup. I have my TV, which is a Toshiba one. I have an LG video recorder. My areal from the TV is plugged into the video recorder because without this the video just will not record anything! Now then there are a load of cables everywhere, but obviously because I am blind I can't exactly describe it.

Now the guy from the RNIB said to try taking the scart connector out the box and plugging some headphones into the output socket. Then try the remote again. Well how can I do this if I am blind? And plus, the scart connectors are in really tight, so difficult to remove!

Please could you all do me a huge favour? If you can duplicate, please could you get in touch with RNIB and let them know.

Many thanks in advance, I look forward to any discussion on this subject.
