You could try going to Tools, Options, Delete... then Delete All to delete cached files, cookies, and stored passwords. You could also try loading IE7 with no add-ons: go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons).

How did you verify that your username and password were typed in correctly? You might have a key sticking on your keyboard.

Hi Valerie,

Actually, if you have IE 7, offline content is no longer an option, so what
you did is now correct. I would contact Tesco if I were you.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes, I've now deleted all cookies but am not sure what you mean by offline
content. Still can't sign in but before contacting Tesco again perhaps you
could enlighten me as to how to delete offline content.

Hi Valerie,

Did you also delete cookies and all offline content?

All the best

Hi Steve,

I've followed your instructions but unfortunately it hasn't solved the
problem. I just can't understand it because it's been OK ever since I
started shopping with Tesco over a year ago. Asda works fine and so does
every other shopping site I'm registered with. I'll just have to get back
to Tesco to see if they can sort it out. Thanks anyway,

Valerie.

Hi Valerie,

Try the following:-

1. Go into Internet Explorer.

2. Go to Tools, Alt-T, then Options, O.

3. Now tab to delete, and press space on it, it is a button. Follow the
prompts. This will delete temporary Internet files from IE.

4. Having done that, tab to OK, and space on it.

I have found this cures the problem for me if I get this one, or if Angie my
wife, gets it.

All the best

Steve

Hi all,
I've been shopping with Tesco now for over a year without any problem, but
last week when I tried to sign in the message came up: Sorry we could not
sign you in, try using a different email address and password. I tried
again several times but the result was the same. My email address and
passwork were definitely typed in correctly so I decided to try to sign in
on my computer at work and I was signed in straight away. I rang tesco.com
and they were also able to sign me in at their end. They recommended
changing a few settings in internet options but that hasn't worked. I'm
wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Any ideas?

Valerie Pickles.
