Hi Carol

I also think it would be helpful if there was an audio indication for when
the box is switched on. Our TV not only had a standby button on the remote,
but an on/off rocker switch which I use so I know it is actually off.

I would like to see the HDMI/AV menu spoken as you cycle between the various
options. I am referring to presses of the fourth rectangular button below
one of the small round buttons outside of the circular navigation buttons on
the right. You can end up getting into a real tangle if you press this as
there is no audio until your various devices come up, and the TVonics of
course doesn't indicate which of these is which. I hope this makes sense.

Other than that, I think it is very good.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Yes, may give a small heart flip if not corrected ... <Smiles>

On a slightly different note, we're having a few problems, partly because
our TV is dropping out and waiting for repair, once we have a replacement;
but we still haven't totally mastered the switch on and off. Today, for
example, I'd switched our box into standby and was reliably informed of
this, then I switched off the TV (as they're not linked at this stage).
Well, I hadn't switched off the TV, according to a sighted friend, so of
course, once I put on the box, would have switched the TV on, probably
before realising it was about to come on. I really do wish the box had
announcements when on, as well as off, and also that announcement included
if a TV was plugged in. What do others think of this, or is it me just
getting in a tangle with something which should be so simple!

BTW: Have no problem recording etc. Just these stupid bits with no speech
feedback!
