Thanks Andrew, that appears to have more or less worked except the hour hand is
still rather ahead of itself in the hour. But at least now it's in the right
hour.

  Hi,

I have had mine a month and for some reason the hands were going the
same way. You need to resync the hands using the procedure found at the
end of the manual, and this may only be done by someone who can see when
both hands are pointing at 12:00. Unfortunately I found this a bit
difficult since one hand masked the other out, but when we did this, and
you can do it quite precisely if you have enough sight, the whole thing
  goes back to normal.

  Thanks.
  Andrew.

For the past couple of days my Tissot vibrating watch has been erratic
  in
its time keeping. I've also had difficulty in setting it to the correct

time. Although it indicates by vibration that the hand is pointing at
  the
appropriate hour, in fact it's pointing somewhere else entirely. Anyone

else had this sort of thing happen? Is it likely to be the battery?
  I've
had the watch since October which would indicate pretty poor battery
  life if
it was that. Of course, it's still in warrantee so if it was something
  more
major than that I could ask them to fix it. any input much appreciated.
