Hi Jonathan, sorry to butt in, but could you elaborate? Did you mean to say the DBX file rather than the MBX file?

I usually delete the Inbox DBX file in case of a corrupted inbox folder and OE creates a new one no problems.

And ah! Jim, don't forget to save the emails in your inbox before deleting it - depends on your mail account settings you may lose any emails in your inbox folder.

Cheers,
Amro

Er, don't forget to delete the mailbox index file, and not the mbx file itself!
Otherwise it'll all be gone forever.

Hi Mike,

No that didn't work and it won't be copied to another folder either. As
anyone else any suggestions?
Thanks
Jim

Jim,

I have had this problem in the past, delete it through the menu, under the
edit menu.

Regards,

Mike

Hi List,

I have an email from "mail delivery sub system delivery status report" that
is stuck in my in box on outlook express. I've tried to delete it but it
won't budge. I get the notification "windows encountered an unknown error" Anyone know how to get rid of this email? I'm using jaws9 with vista premium

Thanks
Jim
