  I think your in-box might be corrupted, you can create a new one by deleting 
the current one, and the next time you launch OE, it will create a new in-box 
folder for you.

      I have had this problem in the past, delete it through the menu, under 
the edit menu.

        Hi List,

        I have an email from "mail delivery sub system delivery status report" 
that is stuck in my in box on outlook express. I've tried to delete it but it 
won't budge. I get the  notification "windows encountered an unknown error" 
Anyone know how to get rid of this email? I'm using jaws9 with vista premium
