As I understand it Sky is one of those ISPs which have refused to take action against those people downloading illegal content. In fact just a couple of weeks ago the cases against hundreds of people for downloading illegal music has collapsed, or rather the firm of solicitors which was dealing with almost every case in the UK has now gone in to administration and dropped all cases. In response Sky and other ISPs have come out and said that they don't want action to be taken against individuals. Neadless to say the Judge was not a happy man when the senior partner from the solicitors said he wanted to drop the case. The Judge has said that they may be liable for a huge amount of compensation to those people they persued due to the stress and inconvenience. Not sure if Sky and most other organisations, including film companies would be to threatened by blind people downloading the audio tracks from movies. That said, most of the films sounded like they were audio described by B Sky B so perhaps they would be a bit more keen to take action.

As far as I understand it, blind mice are breaking the law by hosting
illegal downloads, and downloaders are breaking the law by
downloading.

Now, it's not for me to judge people so I won't, but from a technical
perspective, given that it appears to be connected more to the ISP
being used, than the geographical location, I think the following
might be a possibility:

Movie studios might have put pressure on ISPs to block downloading
from blind mice. Some may have complied, some may have ignored the
request.
Given that blind mice is one static location, blocking it would be easy to do.
It's the only reason I can think for this to have happened.

Here's what I've collated from the list:

Colin is on BT, and CAN get to the site.
I am on Plusnet (a subsidiary of BT) and CANNOT get on the site.
Maureen is on Blueyonder, and CANNOT get to it.
Peter is on Sky, and cannot get to it.
Ari is in South Africa and cannot get to it.

In fact, looking back through the list, I think Colin is the only
person from anywhere to be able to get to it!

Any others for the list?

Hi Peter.

Try "blind mice movie vault" as a search query, it should be in among the
first handful of results.

Hi, I've just tried it with Bing doing a search for 'Blindmicemart movie
vault' but couldn't find the exact page. Only one was cached and that
wouldn't come up. It's probably something I'm doing so if you could tell me what you are searching for and how many headings down the correct result is
I'd be grateful.

Thanks

Hi Peter.

I've just checked on bing, and the movie vault according to the cash was
updated on the 23rd of February, and that's what its saying on their
webpage. I did a little experimenting and bing seems to cash a little
more
often than does Google for this particular website, so I suggest giving
that
a try if you must access a later version of the page.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi, you said though that the site is almost always up to date on the
cached version. Are you seeing the same as me, i.e. the blindmicemart cached
version is saying the movies were updated on 20 Nov?

Hi Peter.

Well, since I cant (in common with most others it would seem) access
the
main site directly, the cash is the only option I have at the moment,
possibly the only option we unfortunates will only ever have. Unless
someone who is versed in website design or who simply has the time to
host a
complete list of all the films and their sendspace locations comes
forward
that is.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Actually this gets stranger because the google site says the page was
last cached on 22 Feb, but the page it's cached says the films were last updated on 20 Nov and I know they have updated since because I've downloaded
movies.

I tried the google cache of the page and that wouldn't load either.

Hi Mo.

I'm using the Google's cash of the page, its almost always up to date
and
I've never had a problem downloading the files as they're all on
sendspace.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Same here. The problem has got to be their end but they're not
replying to emails.

Hi,

I'm still unable to access the 4 blind mice webpage. I read a few
messages on here about it a few days back. Wondering if there's anything I
can do on my computer or if it's an ISP issue?

Thanks,
